Write in Tamil made easy!

Written by vickn3s on April 21, 2008 – 9:07 am

Howdy and vanakam to all my dear friends. It’s my 1st post here,
so I would like to share something really useful for those who cant
write in tamil or proper tamil (like me).

It’s an web base application called Quillpad and its located here.

It’s a real simple and user friendly application where any beginner would easily get adapted to it.

that’s the URL

Input the word in english alphabet.

And, this is what you get!!

But there’s a disadvantage in it. The spelling wont be as
accurate at the beginning stage. Hence one has to try out slowly to get
the perfect word.

Enjoy using it but.

Great! Knew bout this link way before, its some program created by group of IT geeks in India :P

But the only thing is, we need to know tamizh to get the exact word bcoz sometimes the way we write romanized tamizh is different. Things like na and naa or la and (zha)..

At least its an advantage for ppl who cant read and write. This is one cool program !!

p/s: I have seen how some ‘dildos’ made use of this tool in a wrong way.

a good application. for anyone serious who wants to learn proper Tamil typing, you have to practice alot, just dload Keyman e-kalapai then type in Word or any file and also online. It has 3 keyboards and allows you to type in Unicode, UniTamil and Anjal Keyboards. Generally all latest websites support Unicode Tamil encodings, some old ones still use Tscu encodings…but the future is Unicode. There are also many Tamil softwares thats available free online; checkout the download section in this http://thamizha.com/modules/news/. Tc.
