Erm… Well as they say , beauty lies in the eyes of beholder….

My eyes got problem , so i cannot see beauty in that album…

    *me put eyemo*……

Getting recognition? Well, hopefully people wont laugh at our so called “recognition”.

Imagine this, Vijayakanth’s Dharmapuri winning Oscar award for best foreign film….

Well ,can u digest this? Or u will support it because WE as Indians get recognition from whole wide world…

Well,I guess thats why we are called BOLEHLAND… Semua pun boleh lah…… Semua OK!..

    Valghe Valarghe!!

Okie, this is from a neutral person – I don’t really support anyone but I think its quite obvious that Vallavan album outshone all the others. I’m not saying other artists didn’t put their hard work in their albums, but in my opinion, Vallavan had what it takes to take the award. Sadly it didn’t and I am still puzzled why.

just a personal opinion too:- How did they decide the winner… market sales.. quality.. song.. or public’s choice.. or the good old sms votes… beli prepaid untuk 200.00 dan vote je la.. asalkan dapat duit kita boleh nominate dah!!

What might appear fascinating to us might not be the same for the others. Everyone has different taste you see. The people who had been involved in this selection of winners would have had something else in their mind as their selection criteria.

Maybe the judges didn’t simply make ratings according to the popularity of the albums, but other aspects as well.

I do not believe there is any ‘politics’ involved in this.

I would vote for S.A Arun song “Rajavai Thundiyethal’ rather than Valavan song simply because of the fact that it is unique and stands out. But then, if that song got nominated that is.That is by far my opinion. But some of you might not agree with me.

It’s just another Indian who took the award, and extend our congratz to him.

maybe Vallavan lost coz the judges got to know YogiBa made songs for Vijay. :D

Novin…see u choking ppl all by saying Captain win oscar…sad sad. I heard even Captains bulldog ran away.

Perhaps the popularity or the records sales are taken into count when judging for the winners for this category. As what I understand it could some technical areas that they would look into and also the composition

To those who listens to rap, we have to agree that Vallavan was more like a old school rap yet of course they made the highest ever Indian album sales in Malaysia where else Kanmani was more on Jazz and Blues genre.

So I think that could be one of the reason why the album won. Music to the current market and trend.

I think it is good that our Indian local talent is being recognized but at the same time I think Our Indian muzik do not need reconization from these ppl coz if you have statstics on how many malaysian other then indian buy these albums, you most probably will be astonished. Like once Kamalhassan said about oscar. ” Oscar is for American standard it does not meant I am not a good actor”

Anyway, I also think the tittle ” Album India Tempatan terbaik” should be changed to Album Tamil Tempatan Terbaik.

I am not being racist here but if you think practically all these albums are made in Tamil hence the tittle.
