Hi to all. This is my first post in MIB and thanks to AMMU for ‘recruiting’ me in here:D I went for two major job fair in town : Jobstreet & JobsDB. I liked JobsDB better than Jobstreet although online wise Jobstreet is better:D

Job hunting has never been easier. That was the tagline used by JobsDB during the 2008 Career Fair in KLCC from 3. True to those words, the event was so user friendly. Each of the participants were given an electronic barcode which can be used to “scan” and upload the resume directly to the database. The respective company will then retrieve the resume later for processing. The process was so easy that hardcopy resume was not needed!

Fast forward to Jobstreet career fair recently held in Midvalley (4-6^th April). Participants were given a visitor sticker to be pasted on their shirt. Most of the companies that came for Jobstreet came for JobsDb. Besides that, hardcopy resume had to be used because they did not utilize the technology like how JobsDB used.

Coming months are going to be hectic for the fresh grads to look for jobs. How are the Indians performing when it comes to job searching? From the current news, it appears to be that Chinese fresh grads are employed easier and faster compared to other races. They have a dedicated Chinese workforce to help them get employed. My Chinese friends does not even have to answer any technical questions and yet gets employed. They have big advertisements in their vernacular newspapers. But what do we have? We need to do something about it and by we i meant the professional Indians. However, I have been receiving updates about jobs via email from TheMindBB. It is good effort by them.
